How do Compliments work?

What are Compliments and how do they work?

Compliments let you send a message to someone before you’ve matched, so you don’t have to wait for them to Like you first.

To send a Compliment, simply tap the shooting star icon on any profile you haven’t matched with yet.

If the other person likes what you’ve sent, they can reply for free. Once they reply, you’ll become a Match and can continue chatting freely, as long as you both have space in your chats list.

If you’d rather not send a Compliment, that’s completely fine. Just Like their profile instead. If they Like you back, you’ll become a Match.

If you receive a Compliment, you’re always in control. You can choose to Accept it, which creates a Match, or Decline it if you don’t think it’s the right fit.

How many free Compliments do I get?

• Gold members receive 1 free Compliment every 24 hours.
• Non-Gold members receive 1 free Compliment every month.

Your next free Compliment is added 24 hours or 1 month after you use your previous free one, depending on your membership.

Please note that free Compliments do not roll over. If you don’t use them before your next one becomes available, they expire and do not accumulate.

Gold members can purchase additional Compliment bundles. Any Compliments you purchase never expire and can be used whenever you like.

How do I view my Compliments?

To see the Compliments you’ve received:

1. Go to your Explore page.
2. You’ll see a stacked list of your Compliments.
3. Tap Accept to create a Match, or Decline if you’re not interested.

Accepting a Compliment instantly creates a Match with that person, so you can start chatting right away.
