Searching For Love In Sweden
Timing is everything. Aminah and Khalil both downloaded the app after having it recommended by friends who had raved about their own success in finding their spouse on the platform. Sceptical, but fig...
It all started with a gentle nudge from his family.
“It was my sister who first encouraged me to join Muzz, but the first time I only lasted a week before deleting it.”
Nothing had quite clicked on that first attempt, but it wasn’t until a few weeks later when he re-installed it that he found out why.
“I came across her profile almost immediately after rejoining. I felt drawn to her straight away… something just stood out. I didn’t even want to browse anymore. I sent her a message right away.”
At first, there was no reply.
But something told him not to give up.
“I don’t know why, but I felt like she was the one I was meant to wait for.”
Days passed, until one morning, a notification lit up his screen. She had finally matched with him.
“From the moment we started talking, it felt like we’d known each other for years.”
Their connection and confidence in one another only deepened as they spoke. Her smile and positive energy instilled a unique sense of hope in him, and for the first time, allowed him to really imagine a future.
“She was respectful, cheerful, and always kind … charming in every way.”
But her beauty extended far beyond that.
“She helped me grow in my deen. She would remind me to pray, encourage me to put my trust in Allah during tough times, and always brought hope into our conversations. That’s when I knew her heart was even more beautiful than her smile.”
After just three months of talking, he knew he was ready to take the next steps. He approached his parents and told them about her, ready to start the journey towards marriage. He gave his father her family’s contact details and from there, things progressed with ease.
“Even though we come from different cultures, it was a blessing. We learned so much from each other, and the entire process was done in a way that honoured Islam.”
In a beautiful testament to their faith and commitment, they met for the very first time on the day of their nikah.
“We never saw each other in person before that day. But from the beginning, she had always treated me with love, respect, and sincerity so it just felt right.”
They spent a week together in Ethiopia after the wedding before returning to Tanzania, where they hosted a second celebration so that his family could share in the festivities.
Across borders and cultures, their connection was able to develop into the foundation of beautiful future, rooted in love and islamic values.
All it took was a little faith, and a download of the Muzz app.
