Maheer joined Muzz in 2019 after her friends assured her it wouldn’t take long to find her match.

Ashar wasn’t far behind and also joined Muzz in 2019. It didn’t take long for the two to connect and fall in love.

“Overall, the ‘Muzz’ app is really cool because it lets you interact with people all across the planet who share the same faith as you,” Ashar mentions. “It gives you a wide variety of cultures and gives you a chance to talk and mingle with people you would probably never meet otherwise.”

Ashar comes from a similar culture where dating is not common. In Pakistan, courtship is very traditional; however, he believes that as time has evolved, things have changed. Like Maheer, his family also allowed him to search for his soulmate.

Maheer was slightly tense for their first meeting but was also incredibly excited.

“The first time I met Ashar I was very nervous… I couldn’t feel my hands’,” she reveals.

Because Ashar knew he had met someone extraordinary, he had every intention of making their first meeting memorable. That’s why when he first met Maheer, he brought a special treat that she wouldn’t be able to pass on.

“He was very sweet. He came with Biryani and at that point, I just knew he was the one.”

They were married in 2019.

Marriage has taught Ashar many things. It has taught him patience, understanding, and how to work with his partner.

“There are going to be times where you disagree, there are going to be times where you get upset, but as long as you don’t let your partner go to sleep unhappy with you…life is good,” Ashar advises.

For Maheer, she believes that love means giving your partner the tools to help them grow, even if that means space.
