Why do my matches expire?

We introduced Expiring Matches to help eliminate ghosting and encourage user interaction.

If both members don’t send a message within 72 hours, the match will automatically expire, and the profile will be sent back to your Marriage tab, where you will have a chance to match with them again. They may not be visible from the Explore tab if they haven’t interacted with your profile since your match with them expired.

Alternatively, you can purchase a credit to extend your Match for an additional 48 hours before it expires. Gold members receive a free Match extension credit every week!
