Why am I seeing people outside my preferences?
Noticed some matches that don’t quite fit your preferences? Don’t worry, there’s a reason!
On Muzz, your filters – like age or location – shape who you see, but once we’ve shown you all the profiles that match 100%, we’ll start showing folks who are close, but not exact (think 99% or 98% matches). For some filters you can turn this off – just un-toggle the ‘show me other profiles’ option for that filter. We recommend leaving this on to give you the best chance of coming across your next match!
Gold members get Search Priorities too, which rank profiles by compatibility, but we still prioritize Gold users or people who’ve liked you – so they might pop up even if they’re slightly outside your settings.
