Fate works at its own pace. It can’t be rushed, nor delayed, and what is written will be always be revealed at the perfect moment.

Qais had been using the Muzz app on and off for approximately 3 years, beginning in 2021.

“I deleted the app several times, but eventually returned to using it because compared to other applications, Muzz had features that felt more comfortable and secure.”

She downloaded it again in early 2025, not quite optimistic, but tentatively believing that if the right person was out there he would find her. Relaxed in her approach, and trusting in Allah’s timing, she resolved to only use the app sparingly.

Nothing real came of it at first. A month passed, then another, and still no sign of her soulmate.

Until one night in June when a message arrived from a man in Morocco.

With a profile full of pictures, a complete list of interests, and a bio so long that Qais admits to not even finishing it on the first attempt, Saad appeared on the scene and stole her attention.

They exchanged messages, a simple Salaam to begin with, quickly followed by something much more intentional.

“What are you looking for on here?”

His directness was a breath of fresh air. She had often asked herself the same question, and almost started to doubt whether she would find anyone who cared enough to ask, let alone share in that goal.

Her response was equally direct:

“I’m looking for a husband”

This transparency and fundamental agreement would lay the foundation for all that followed.

As it turns out, Saad had only been on the app for a few months, and had become a gold member only recently. Serious about finding a wife, he knew that the investment would be worth it.

Their conversations flowed naturally, beginning with long exchanges of messages before transitioning into voice notes and video calls. Despite the language barrier, with Saad not being quite fluent in English yet, they found their enjoyment of each other’s company deepening with every passing day.

In just two weeks of knowing each other, Saad knew this was the woman he was meant to be with.

He made his intention to marry her clear, and convinced her of his sincerity by quickly introducing her to his mother and siblings. He also made a real effort to perfect his English, believing that she deserved to hear the words that his heart yearned to express.

The journey from that point onwards was challenging, but made easier by their shared faith and optimism. Through the stress of legal documents and planning, he remained her rock, constantly reassuring her that it would all be worth it in the end.

The fruit of their determination came into bloom on the 30th October of that year, when Saad took his first ever flight to get to Indonesia.

After anxiously waiting for nearly 21 hours as he traversed the globe, she finally met the man on the screen that she had fallen for. Weeks of struggling and anticipation all became worth it in an instant as they laid eyes upon one another for the first time. The overwhelming feeling of certainty, paired with her awe at the effort he undertook to reach her only served to solidify her conviction, and dispelled any lingering doubts. She knew this was the man written for her.

A week later, they held their Nikah at Masjid Sejuta Pemuda in Sukabumi.

“The ceremony was solemn, simple, yet deeply meaningful for us. During our long-distance relationship, we always sought advice from (trusted advisors and loved ones) and made the effort to seek guidance through Istikharah.”

Despite the challenges, their story serves as yet another example of why patience is necessary, and that with Allah’s blessing, even that which is difficult will become easy.

Oceans apart, they found their way to one another, and will continue to find their way together in this life and the next, Insha’Allah.
