“Download kar ke tou dekho,” her friend had said, urging her to download Muzz during a visit to Islamabad. Zaira had been hesitant after her nikkah in 2019 that didn’t reach rukhsati. She had taken a step back, focusing on her career and her faith. But when she downloaded Muzz, the very next day, a message from Bilal appeared in her inbox: he had sent her a message from the Muzz compliment feature.

“I thought, wait… he looks familiar,” Zaira recalls. As it turned out, Bilal was an old classmate, someone she had known years ago from school.  She shared this with her mother, who encouraged her to explore the connection. And so, they did, at a Nando’s, a casual first meeting that felt anything but ordinary. “It was the first time in a long time I could imagine giving life another chance,” says Zaira.

591 messages on Muzz later, they moved to Instagram. When Bilal spoke to his mother about Zaira, she was immediately on board, even having her suit ready for the moment she could say “haan.”

Zaira downloaded Muzz on April 17, started talking to Bilal on April 18, and after their baat pakki in May, she uninstalled the app, knowing she had found someone truly special.

Their bond wasn’t just about timing, it was about the way they understood and complemented each other. “I love how smart he is, but also how kind and patient,” Zaira says. “Even when I’m upset, he knows how to calm me down.” Bilal smiles: “Love isn’t perfect. It’s about embracing each other’s strengths and flaws alike.”

Today, their marriage thrives on mutual appreciation,  laughter and lots of flowers and chocolates. From a simple message on Muzz to a life built together, Zaira and Bilal’s story is a reminder that sometimes, love arrives when you’re ready to embrace it, and that the heart is always capable of finding its way back to happiness.
