“Assalam o Alaikum Sisters”: A Bio, A Laugh, and A Marriage
February 23, 2026
Faryal once told her sister she didn’t want to get married. After some difficult past experiences, she had made peace with the idea of staying single. Still, she downloaded Muzz, and had even told her mother, who fully supported her.
Abdul Rehman, meanwhile, first heard about Muzz at a wedding. A friend mentioned a news channel talking about a new rishta app people were using to get married. Curious, he looked it up and found Muzz. He hesitated at first, since apps aren’t always socially accepted in Pakistani society, but decided to give it a try.

Looking for your soulmate?
You won’t find your soulmate on this blog post but you might find them on Muzz - the world’s biggest Muslim dating and marriage app.
Then came the bio that changed everything:
“Assalam o Alaikum sisters – obviously before marriage you’re all my sisters.”
Faryal found it hilarious, and matched with him instantly.
Their conversations were easy and fun. Abdul Rehman says he felt their vibes matched right away. In the beginning, he agreed with almost everything Faryal said, ticking all her boxes so perfectly that she wondered if he was just trying to impress her. But over time, she realized that’s genuinely who he is.
They laugh about how Abdul Rehman usually apologizes first. He jokes that maybe it’s written in the marriage contract:
“Sorry’s and apologies are the husband’s department, and I’m the Chief Minister of that department.”
Faryal reflects that if they had met ten years ago, it probably wouldn’t have worked. She would have argued more, maybe even blocked him. Growth and timing made all the difference. Abdul Rehman agrees: when you’re younger, your temperament is different.
Today, they encourage parents to trust their children to choose their own partners, and to give them time to learn about themselves. Faryal is especially grateful to her parents for allowing her that choice. In fact, her siblings have also gotten married through Muzz, and her parents joke that one day her own children should use it too.
What started with a joke in a bio turned into a marriage built on timing, growth, and a lot of laughter, and Faryal and Abdul Rehman recommend Muzz to anyone searching for a serious life partner.
