Dear Muzz,

I met with him about a month ago. I swiped right on him and then he started to message with me on Muzz. After a couple of messages he told me let’s communicate by phone and messages and to get off this app.

I accepted and we have been talking for almost a month. He said I like you very much and I talk to my mom and I would like to get married. He lives in Texas and I live in Virginia. He said he’s coming to visit Norfolk and then he will stop by and visit me so he would like to see me.

And there was a schedule that he’s coming on June 3rd. to see me, then suddenly he went to Alaska for a job - he said for a week and now it’s been two weeks. And he said he’s working hard and working hard and he’s coming to see me. We're enjoying the conversation, he start to say that he has his work as a problem and he need to pay money, but he doesn’t have enough money. But it’s OK he will try to cover this money from his savings.

He might actually be busy with not much money and that’s why he hasn’t been able to see you yet. Or maybe he gets nervous. There could be a lot of reasons but I also strongly think that anyone who wants to see you will make the time. So I'd be cautious.

I’d recommend giving him a video call to see what's up. With face to face chatting it’s easier to see what his vibe is and what’s really going on. If everything seems like it’s legit then I'd try set up another date to meet. Maybe you can go to him? But always remember to stay safe. Tell someone where you’re going and always meet in a public place.

Hmmm, this is a tricky one. I feel like he genuinely could just be busy with work. I agree with the advice Kissed A Few Frogs has given you. I understand how frustrating it can be when someone keeps cancelling, however sometimes these things do unfortunately happen. I mean atleast he has a legitimate reason for it.

However, if it reaches the stage where this continues to happen even after you discuss it over a call, and you don't think this anything is going to change, maybe you really need to consider if you can continue to have this relationship. We can only advise you from the message you have sent us; we can't tell if there is more to what's going on. But from what you sent,it does sound like he is interested and does want to meet you.
