Love & Lockdown: Halal Edition
It all started with a simple message, as Muzz success stories often do. Ayesha and Zach spoke for the first time in 2020 following two years of infrequent app use where they just couldn’t find what th...
Ridwan, a product designer at one of Africa’s leading tech companies, and Kaosara, a real estate sales manager, met on Muzz in 2022.
At the time, they were both living in Nigeria and looking for the right person to settle down and build a life with.
“I came across Kaosara’s profile, and there was just something about her that drew me in.”
He sent the first message, a simple ‘Hey’.
“She replied, “Hey Ridwan!” I imagine she thought, “Who’s this guy hey-ing me like that?” But Alhamdulillah, she responded!”
And so their story began.
After countless voice notes, calls and laughs shared, they had their first date at a cinema in their home city of Lagos.
“It didn’t go exactly how I planned, I’ll be honest.”
But when something is written for you, the stars will align to make it happen.
Their second date went perfectly; lunch at a local restaurant where they laughed for hours and everything finally clicked into place.
“From day one, I was clear. I liked her, and I wanted to marry her. No situationship, no “let’s see where this goes.”
This intentionality defined their relationship, and helped them overcome all the difficulties that come with getting to know someone, quirks and all. They learned to compromise and accept each other despite their differences, knowing that their hearts were always in the right place.
So surely, with hardship comes ease’ – Surah Ash-Sharh, 94:5
Ridwan underwent surgery later that year, and through the ordeal, found his love for Kaosara deepening, cementing his belief that she was ‘the one’.
“Her care, presence, and strength through that period sealed it. She’s hardworking, confident, and the best salesperson I know (maybe that’s why I bought everything she sold – including her heart!)”
He also emphasised how much closer she has brought him to Allah, something which he cherishes deeply and will guide them for all of the years to come.
They held their Nikah on the 28th June 2025 and have lived happily ever since.
Fi Dunya, wa fil Akhirah, Insha’Allah.
