Ladies, I’m sure we’ve all experienced the horror of fasting for the whole day, then right before iftar you decide to go to the toilet and find that you’ve gotten a visit from that special monthly visitor…. Yep, your period. I’m sure you all know the pain. And on top of that you can no longer fast, pray and you just feel like you’re missing out on a huge chunk of Ramadan.
But actually, that’s not even the worst part. There is a huge stigma around women being on their periods during Ramadan. It’s hard, we have to eat but we feel so guilty doing so. So many of us sneak around the house trying to eat in secret, so the male members of our family won’t know we’re on our periods.
You won’t find your soulmate on this blog post but you might find them on Muzz - the world’s biggest Muslim dating and marriage app.
